Based in Nelson, New Zealand, the waters of Tasman Bay combined with the surrounding landscape provide a breathtaking backdrop for your catamaran sailing experience. From short sails and harbour cruising to longer explorations reaching into the Abel Tasman National Park or outer Marlborough Sounds, your time onboard is tailored to what you want.

Nelson, with a wonderful temperate climate and the national record for annual sunshine hours, has long been high on the list of places to visit for travelers to New Zealand. This mixture creates a deep blue sea, golden beaches and a sea breeze.
Bron and Nick Hamilton have been operating Nelson Sailing Adventures Ltd since 2005, with more than 30 years commercial passenger and tourism experience between them. Both hold appropriate MNZ (Maritime New Zealand) qualifications.
Brett Hawkes, another of our local skippers, Local Launch Operator (NZ) and RYA Yachtmaster Ocean (UK) qualified. Started sailing in Tasman Bay waters over 20 years ago, seasoning this with a year in the waters of the Solent. In addition to giving peace of mind that you are in safe hands, his experience provides insights to some of the local gems helping you get the best out of your sailing holiday.
Tim Newman is the owner/skipper of Megisti. He has had 36 years of sailing experience, mainly about the Banks Peninsula but also in Australia and the Adriatic.

- Small group numbers, max 15 on day trips, 6 overnight in 3 queen size cabins
- You can also chose the option of a catamaran, keeler or power boat from our partner operators.
- Nelson Harbour sail and overnight accommodation.
- We are able to land our guests on the beaches and foreshore of the Abel Tasman National Park under a Department of Conservation concessioned permit.
- As independent owners and professional skippers, we personally attend to our clients requirements on our quality vessels.
